All performers will be videotaped for the Wiggles of the West archives (not for sale to the public). We no longer sell full videos of the contest. Technology is just moving to fast for the Two Old Bags to keep up. Hiring a professional Videographer is also not cost effective. We do need archival video records for our own files however, in case of a dispute.
No unauthorized video taping will be allowed. No one is allowed to videotape any of this event without the permission of the dancer involved and the express consent of the Two Old Bags. Anyone caught video taping without permission will be asked to leave. This is NOT a public performance, so we do have the right to prevent unauthorized video taping.
Dancers/Troupes can have ONE authorized representative video tape their performance. This is how it works: The dancer/troupe will sign up the individual they want to video their performance (there by giving that one person permission to video tape that one performance). This must be done well in advance of the dancer’s performance. This person will be given a “Permission to Video” slip, signed by the dancer/troupe. This permission slip will be given to our representative manning the video area. All video taping will be done in the designated video taping areaonly. Hand held cameras only, because no other tripods but those beingused by the Two Old Bags will be allowed in the area. The logistics of setup and take down for each dancer/troupe would be way too time consuming. Once that performance is over that individual will NOT be allowed tovideo tape any other dancer/troupe, unless he/she has another “Permission to Video” slip.
Please help us help you. We know that dancers want a recordof their performances and this way you can have it immediately and at noextra cost. Plus we do not have to make a zillion copies and worryabout them getting lost in the mail. As long as everyone acts in acivilized manor and treats each other well, we can make this work. We do not want to have to ban cameras entirely.
